Build a tower out of the sea and it becomes a lighthouse. Build a ring of buildings and a park flourishes within the courtyard you have created. Congratulations, you’ve learned 90% of what Townscraper has to offer: With the simple press and hold of a button, you can build huge cities. Press A again on top of these buildings, and you start building storeys, towers and minarets. Press A on one of these platforms and you create a building, and hold down A to make a sequence of buildings. Hold down A, and you start spamming platforms and islands with a sweep of the analog stick.
Pressing A creates a square of land on your ocean. You can also play in any orientation on iOS. Touchscreen controls are definitely the way to go here, but the controller option is nice and well implemented. I used my PS5 DualSense controller and it felt great. When a console or PC game comes to mobile, I always look forward to additional control options.

On the iPhone 11 and iPad Pro (2020), the only in-game options I see are the 30fps frame rate cap and turning on anti-aliasing. If it’s in, I can’t get it to work so keep that in mind.
